Following are some items to consider:

Family stories are very interesting. It is
best if you get the approval of other family members before
submitting a family story. Sometimes another person has a
different perspective... If you have a story complete with
photos, all the better! Create a Word document and send it
as an email attachment. If you create the story in
Microsoft Publisher, please save it as a version 2000 or earlier
file. If you have the ability to create PDF files, that is
better yet!1

If you wish to place an email address in a
story, you may wish to place it as a picture like the
above--because spammers will troll the internet with automatic
bots to find email address to which they send all kinds of
unwanted email.

You can include links to family history you have
on another web site if you wish.
